Desde SOSUNC, dedicamos este mes a difundir su alcance, s\u00edntomas y tratamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una de las principales dificultades del tratamiento es mantener una alimentaci\u00f3n baja en carbohidratos y grasas, a contramano de lo que ofrecen los restoranes, rotiser\u00edas y comercios del rubro. Por eso, la Asociaci\u00f3n Americana de Diabetes elabor\u00f3 una gu\u00eda de los diez \u201cs\u00faper alimentos\u201d para quienes viven con esta enfermedad:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tomates<\/li><li>Legumbres (porotos, garbanzos, lentejas y arvejas)<\/li><li>Vegetales de hoja verde oscura (acelga, espinaca, berro y r\u00facula)<\/li><li>Pescados ricos en grasa Omega 3 (salm\u00f3n, sardinas, caballa, jurel, at\u00fan)<\/li><li>Frutos secos (nueces, almendras, man\u00edes)<\/li><li>Frutas (en lo posible con c\u00e1scara y poco maduras)<\/li><li>Batatas<\/li><li>Frutos rojos (cereza, frutilla, ar\u00e1ndanos, moras, ciruelas)<\/li><li>Granos enteros (avena tradicional, centeno integral, arroz integral, ma\u00edz)<\/li><li>Leche y yogur descremados<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>La dieta para la diabetes tambi\u00e9n implica seguir tres recomendaciones:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>a) Eliminar el az\u00facar de absorci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida: reemplazar jugos y gaseosas por infusiones amargas o con edulcorante y exprimidos de frutas. Las mermeladas, miel, caramelos y golosinas se pueden sustituir por variedades con 0% de az\u00facar agregada o bien yogures y postres diet\u00e9ticos.<\/li><li>b) Fraccionar: distribuir la alimentaci\u00f3n en un m\u00ednimo de 4 a 6 comidas diarias para comer menos cantidad m\u00e1s veces, as\u00ed se evitan los grandes picos de az\u00facar en sangre. Adem\u00e1s, mejora el metabolismo y ayuda a bajar de peso.<\/li><li>c) Incorporar m\u00e1s fibra: Es un aliado presente en verduras, legumbres y frutas que vuelve m\u00e1s lenta la digesti\u00f3n y, en consecuencia, retarda la absorci\u00f3n del almid\u00f3n y los az\u00facares.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Podemos frenar la epidemia de diabetes.
