Desde SOSUNC, proponemos dedicar este mes a difundir el legado del prestigioso cardiocirujano argentino y su particular mirada de la salud como una tarea colectiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Favaloro naci\u00f3 el 12 de julio de 1923 en La Plata y se form\u00f3 en la universidad p\u00fablica. Reci\u00e9n graduado, trabaj\u00f3 como m\u00e9dico rural en Jacinto Arauz (La Pampa). Ampli\u00f3 las prestaciones sanitarias y se enfoc\u00f3 en aliviar las condiciones de pobreza de sus pacientes. En pocos a\u00f1os, disminuyeron los casos de desnutrici\u00f3n y mortalidad infantil en su zona de influencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El cardiocirujano se convirti\u00f3 en un referente a nivel internacional al desarrollar la t\u00e9cnica de bypass coronario durante sus a\u00f1os como investigador en Estados Unidos.
